You may have prepared for the appointments.
The blood tests.
The scans.
The medication.
The waiting.
But very few women are prepared for what the fertility journey can do to you.
The anxiety.
Constant uncertainty.
The hope you are almost afraid to feel and the disappointment when your body does not do what you expected it to do.
The guilt, shame and endless search for a reason.
Did I do something wrong?
Somewhere along the way, life can become smaller.
And everything starts revolving around one question:
Will I become pregnant?
Fertility is not only a biological journey
The fertility journey deeply affects your psychological and social health.
Biologically, chronic health conditions - including mental illness, may become more challenging to manage.
Psychologically, uncertainty, fear and the pressure to do everything right can take an enormous toll.
Socially, relationships are challenged.
Two people, with different emotions and different ways of coping, are embarking on one of life's most difficult and unpredictable journeys.
Without understanding and communication, it can become increasingly difficult to know how to stand alongside and support one another.
When the process becomes the whole picture
Fertility treatment demands an extraordinary amount of time and attention.
And understandably so.
But there is a danger in focusing so narrowly on becoming pregnant that we lose sight of the woman going through the process.
It becomes easy for other parts of life to slowly move into the background.
But you matter.
Your health, your relationships, your work and your quality of life matters.
The difficulty is finding a way to pursue something you want so deeply without allowing the uncertainty of the journey to consume every other part of your life.
Because you may be preparing for a marathon, not a sprint.
And none of us can predict how long the journey will be.
Join Dr Elsa du Toit for a supportive & informative session where we’ll explore:

This is not a webinar about fertility treatment
I am not a fertility specialist.
There are excellent fertility experts who can explain the investigations, procedures and treatment options involved in trying to conceive.
My work starts somewhere else.
For more than 20 years, I have worked with women and families across the reproductive and perinatal journey.
I have treated many women and their partners, who were extremely well informed about the fertility process...
…but completely unprepared for its psychological and emotional impact.
This webinar is about that journey.
About protecting your health and keeping life together while pursuing the deeply held hope of building a family.
And about finding a way forward when you cannot predict what comes next.

I didn’t need more information. I needed structure. I needed someone to show me how to THINK through it.
