Treatment should start with prevention 

Let’s be honest anyone can experience Postnatal Depression.

It doesn’t mean you’re weak.

It doesn’t mean you’ve failed.

It simply means you’re human.

Some moms may be more vulnerable than others, but no one is immune. That’s why waiting until things fall apart is no longer good enough.

At the moment, most healthcare systems are built around treating mental illness after it’s already taken hold. But what if we could shift that model entirely?
What if women were supported before they reach breaking point?

The three layers of prevention:
  1. Primary Prevention for every woman.
  2. Secondary Prevention for those at higher risk. 
  3. Tertiary Prevention for moms already facing challenges.

Because when women are empowered before crisis hits, everything changes - Families are stronger. Babies are nurtured. Mothers stay whole.

On top of this, each person brings their own risk assessment to the table, weighing potential outcomes differently based on personal goals, tolerance for uncertainty and past experiences, leading to very different conclusions from the same set of facts.
